#5 friendship

This video is about how the girl only wants this guy as a friend and nothing more. But the problem is that the boy still likes her and is still trying to get with her, but the girl won't let her guard down for him. I really do like marios song because most of his songs have to deal with real life things that teenagers have to go through. This music is what teens can connect to on a higer level but adults might not be able to compare their lives to it because they may think that they have gone through the kid friendship thing bu tthey really haven't they have to learn how to connect with music on another level, and that's what I think mario music will do.

Huck is influenced by Tom Sawyer because he always goes back and thinks what would Tom Sawyer do? Huck Finn thinks that Tom Sawyer is one of the smartest people he knows. If Tom was to tell Huck not to do something or to do it then Huck would listen. Something that Huck says that shows that he is influenced by Tom sawyer is when he said “Tom Sawyer wouldn’t back out now, and so I won’t either.”(ch.12, pg.51, par.3) Tom Has had a positive effect on Huck because he has helped Huck gain confidence to do things that other people might be scared to do.

Widow Douglas has influenced Huck Finn is that she taught him to believe that there is some good in life and that it is a good thing to go back and pray. She has also influenced him because she helps him read so that he doesn’t go around doing dumb things. A bad thing she does to influence him is try to take custody of him for his money because it may show him tat he is not loved and that the only reason that she is taking care of him is for his money. Something that the Widow Douglas says that influences Huck is “take your hands away, Huckleberry-what a mess you are always making.” (ch.4, pg.12, par. 1) This influences him because it helps him become more neat or proper.
Pap has mostly a negative influence on Huck. He drinks in front of him and goes crazy all the time. Pap is an influence on Huck because he looks up to him because that’s the only father figure he has. He is influenced by Pap because he listens and hangs on to his every word. Some thing t
Moral dilemmas in Huck Finn
In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck faces a number of moral dilemmas which reveal much about a character. A moral dilemma that stood out to me when I was reading the book was when Huck went to this one ladies house to see if she had heard about his disappearance. He went to her house, lied about his name to cover his identity, and he asked her questions concerning is whereabouts and what they thought happened. During the time of the questioning the women starts getting suspicious and asking questions herself.
In this chapter Huck had to make sure that everyone thought that he was dead. He had seen that a house that someone had just moved into and went to it knocked on the door and told the lady a false name. At the beginning she was believing it until she told him to throw a bar of lead that she had twisted up at the rat and the way he throw it was different than the way a girl would throw it. Then she had him sew, and the way that he sewed, she had never seen a girl sew that way. Huck knew that he was busted when she said “Come, now-what’s your real name?”(ch.16, pg. 45, paragraph 3). Huck couldn’t do anything but tell another lie, since she had already know that he was a boy, he had no choice but to tell her that his name was “George peters mum.”(ch.16, pg. 46, paragraph. 3)
HUCK FINN reader response#3(ch.14-ch.18)

Paragraph 1:

Huck was impressed by the Grangerford’s house because he never saw a house or a family in the country that looked nice. I got this idea from the book; it says “It was a mighty nice family, and a mighty nice house, too.”(ch17, pg75, par.3) It may show Huck that no matter were you come from you can still make it no matter how much money you were born with, if you keep trying you can make it, even in the country.

Paragraph 2:

The books in the house are so special because they don’t only have regular books that you just sit down and read, they have bibles and books with gospel lyrics. When Huck says “there was some books too, piled up perfectly, on each corner of the table” (ch.17, pg.76, par.2). I believe that Huck is interested because he make have not seen so many books in his life time. I think that it says that Huck is a very wise boy but he really does not know how to use it when he is around his friends. I think that Twain’s view of education is that he believes that everyone is smart in their own way. I think that Twain is very intelligent and he knows how to express himself.

Paragraph 3:

The thing special about the drawings is that they all had to do with her or someone else that was sick mentally or physically. Her drawings showed the struggles that not only her but other people had to go through. “These was all nice pictures, I reckon, but I didn’t somehow seem to take to them, because if ever I was down a little, always give me the fan-tods.”(ch.17, pg. 77, par.1) This statement shows that she can draw but her drawings are disturbing. This girl really seems to be obsessed with death. The point of the girl with the arms was to show that she was reaching out for someone. I think that he describes this because it is what catches his eye and it shows so much of how the girl thinks. I think that her death is horrible and that she has a wide view of how everyone else is.Huck is so fascinated by this girls art because he stares and put his self in her situation.

Reader Response 1: Huck Finn (1 - 6)

The theme I choose to speak apon is racism. The quote that I took out of the book to help the theme that iI choose that pap said is: "Well that let me out. Thinks I, what is the world a-coming to? It was 'lection day, and I was just about to go and vote, myself , if I warn't drunk to get there; but when they told me there was a state in this country where they'd let that" n" vote, I drawed out." (ch.6,p.30,par.3) In my own words I would say that this means that he does not like black people. This quote means that he was trying to tell his son that he did not vote because they allowed a black man to vote in their country but the real reason he did not vote because they did not allow him to because he was drunk.
My responce to this quote would be that I get very affended by this being a black person. I feel as though the fact that he would tell his son this lie that the only reason that he did not vote was because of a black person was showing that he is weak and that he has no common sence. The fact that he was talking about how he couldn't believe that the black man was allowedto vote showed that he may not have been brought up right and I'm sorrey to say that it iss still people out there like that.
I really don't think that mark twain is a racist. I think that he was trying to use satire but also trying to make it intresting to his readers so that they can say why is he saying this but also the book is getting intresting. Mark twains book is intresting but like I said also offensive to different groups of people at different levels.
